Peroxisomes

Peroxisomes are found in all plant and animals cells. They are not in a specific place inside the cell though they can be found anywhere threw out the cell. They are a single membrane and they contain digestive enzymes that break down toxic materials. Peroxisomes are very similar to lysosomes but Peroxisomes hold on to enzymes that require oxygen and lysosomes work in an area with a small amount of oxygen.
