Golgi Apparatus

The Golgi apparatus is located near the nucleus in most cells. It modifies and packages proteins to ship out of the cell. It also gathers simple sugars and combines them to make more complex molecules. The Golgi Apparatus is like the endoplasmic reticulum because they are both made up of a system of membranes.
